Good news for an endangered Maryland salamander
The tiger salamander, North America’s largest terrestrial salamander, has been declining due to loss of habitat. But the Maryland Department of Natural Resources has worked to restore the wetlands that the salamanders depend on, and now their numbers are on the upswing. Read more here.
