Second Chance Wildlife Center in Gaithersburg, MD is celebrating the arrival of about 1,500 baby birds, rabbits, squirrels, and other animals on Sunday, May 1, from noon until 3:00 at the Center.
Admission is free, but donations of the following are requested:
- Paper towels and toilet paper for nests
- Unscented bleach and laundry soap
- Gift cards to Giant and Safeway
- Twin-and full-sized sheet sets in beige
- Kaytee Exact hand feed formula for birds (available in larger pet stores)
Activities include making birdhouses and feeders ($5 kits), native plant sale, bake sale and ice cream social.
